Description
The Herschel Select XLS Infrared Mirror Heater offers sleek looks, combining stylish function with an unprecedented level of heating comfort and energy efficiency. Forming part of our high performance frameless Select XLS range, which incorporates our integrated SMART-R receiver, the Herschel Select XLS Mirror heater provides the very latest in smart heating. You choose whether to control your heating from a thermostat (sold separately), through the convenience of an App, or you can even use voice control when used with Alexa or Google Assistant.
Infrared mirror heater panels can be placed in humid areas such as bathrooms without any condensation forming on the glass, whilst also chasing away the causes of moisture that convection-based heaters actually encourage (hot air moving over a cold surface).
Due to the infrared heating process, the mirrors heat up objects in the room rather than the air. This helps keep walls and fittings warm, dry and free of mould.
All units are made with Mirrored Safety Glass and incorporate Easy-Fix mounting, manufactured from the highest quality materials under strict quality control and are guaranteed for 5 years. Please note that due to the infrared technology, the Select XLS mirror has a darker tint than standard (non heater) silver mirrors.
There are two options (sold separately) for operating your XLS Mirror. Choose from a battery operated controller (T-BT) or a mains / USB powered controller (T-MT). T-MT has in built Wifi allowing APP and voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant. Select your thermostat below.
The heated areas are a guide only and assume a medium to well insulated space with an average floor to ceiling height of 2.40M. If room heights are greater or there are other building factors to consider then please Contact Herschel, or contact your dealer directly so that a more detailed assessment can be carried out.

The mirror looks great in the bathroom and gives the flexibility to heat only one room via the thermostat and controller. The heat radiates and you can feel the heat on the other side of the room.
I might purchase another one for a different room.

I started to plan my home refurbishment in the Summer of 2016. My priorities were comfort and sustainability. The project involved insulating an old, solid stone house, upgrading the glazing, electrics and heating, plus an extension. I visited Andy and was able to see infrared heating panels and solar working together, so decided to go for both.
Although it’s early days, the heating seems very economical to run. The solar contributes to running cost savings and we also use the spare solar electricity to heat water so my home is future-proofed. The whole house is zoned and controlled with Herschel iQ thermostats so I have the heat I like when and where needed. The house is extremely comfortable, and because of the insulation and infrared panels, we operate the system at only 16-18degC air temperature, but still feel warm.
We experienced a range of challenges during the project, but the infrared was the simplest system to integrate with the programme, and the support from the Herschel team was exemplary at all times. The Select XL mirror units, and ceiling mounted panels look great and free up lots of wall space, which really helps in some of the rooms. I also like the zero maintenance of infrared, it’s both hi-tech yet very simple to live with. I’d urge anyone undertaking a new-build or refurbishment project to get in touch with Herschel and go for infrared!

My clients have been really impressed with the quality and appearance of the panels and are intrigued feel the heat in the winter. With the PV installation, insulated cavities, highly insulated roof and new double glazed windows throughout, I’m sure they’ll work really well. Stephen Whitham, Dorset
