Why do Infrared ceiling heaters make so much sense for heating kids’ indoor play areas?
Indoor play areas for kids are increasingly popular &, typically, can be large converted warehouse spaces & retail units with high ceilings. This particular space was a former retail store. It was a large area which would have been almost impossible to heat using wall mounted traditional convection heaters and it would have been impractical to use mobile radiators. There is also the safety aspect to consider with children and heaters and in such a big space, practical considerations like how to maintain desired temperatures and ease of install and maintenance.
A properly zoned ceiling mounted solution was required. This could only mean infrared and because of our products and experience, it could only mean Herschel.
Herschel infrared ceiling heaters have recently been installed in a large indoor play centre in Rugby, Warwickshire. The centre occupies an area of 209m2, with a ceiling height of 3m. The building is a converted retail shopping unit, 100 years old, with poorly insulated concrete floors. See the full details of this case study here including feedback from the management.
