Background
The Liberty Stadium in Swansea, Wales, is a sports stadium and conferencing venue. The leisure stadium was refurbished during 2016 and the refurbishment included a project to review heating within its corporate hospitality boxes.
The previous heating system was a wet gas fired system with radiators. The team was looking for an effective heating solution, for each area, which did not draw a large amount of power. Alternative solutions considered included 3000W convector heaters. There was a limit on the site which would have meant upgrading the electrical supply if these were exceeded, resulting in extra upheaval, hassle, time and cost.
Solution
Herschel Aspect XL3 (1950W) heaters were selected over alternative heating solutions; 22 Aspect XL3 heaters installed in 22 corporate boxes. The heating in each box is controlled via a thermostat to control the individual heating requirements, delivering savings on wattage output and running time over the previous, and alternative, heating systems.
With their contemporary, zero light design and low energy, comfortable heat generation, the Aspect XL heaters perfectly complement the restyled corporate boxes. The natural feeling of warmth from infrared will maintain optimum comfort levels for all guests enjoying events at Liberty Stadium.
