The team at Herschel was delighted to help a Special Needs School seeking support from the community for an outdoor cafe terrace for its students. Take a read of our blog post on this very special School, in Bath, along with our other news features.
Background
Three Ways School, in Bath, looks after children with a wide range of special educational needs. The school had recently completed a project to build a purpose-built cafe and training centre, having spent seven years prior fundraising. The aim of the Headteacher was to provide supervised work experience for their students, in a much less daunting and pressurised environment, to help those able and wanting to transition to the workplace after school. The next stage of the project was to create an outdoor terrace area to enable the cafe to cater to more customers, and provide more opportunities for the students.
We were contacted by the build contractors to see if we could assist in the contribution of outdoor heaters for the area.
Solution
Our Herschel Colorado heaters are installed around the seated area, providing warmth for customers from a pleasant, non intrusive glow. The heaters are controlled by a handy remote.
Amelia Hartley, Business Manager at Three Ways School, commented “We’ve been thrilled with the support from a whole host of local companies in helping us complete our project – the newly installed Herschel heaters are a great addition to our outdoor seating area helping visitors to enjoy the space in comfort”.
A fantastic school and inspiring project. Please take a visit and support them at 3 Café & Kitchen, Bath (at Three Ways School).
